Once, Triaxus's wandering orbit created an intense seasonal cycle of steamy, fertile summers and brutal winters that lasted hundreds of years. The planet's ecologies, landscape, and inhabitants changed drastically between seasons, but the cycle was recently broken when Triaxus catapulted from distant orbit toward the sun. The era of eternal summer has only just begun.
Triaxus is defended by the Skyfire Legion, an ancient military order formed by dragonkin troopers and their bonded humanoid partners, all supported by powerful dragon allies.
Regions on Triaxus include the Drakelands, a continental wilderness preserve tended by dragons; the Skyfire Mandate, an isthmus guarded by the oldest aeries of the Skyfire Legion; the Allied Territories, a continent that's home to ancient city-states and dazzling spaceports; and Ning, an oligarchical island of lavish wealth famous for nurturing the practice of ritual combat between warrior performers.
